Good for the Climate and Collaboration: Eco-Friendly Meetings

Whether company celebrations, conferences or family gatherings: Large events not only require a lot of space, they also consume a lot of resources and release emissions. Sustainable hotels and locations, therefore, focus on environmentally friendly design. A climate-friendly arrival of the guests, waste avoidance and the purchase of regional and organic food are some of the important factors.

Climate Positive Meetings in Erlangen

Creativhotel Luise makes hosting sustainable gatherings easy: the newly renovated and energy-efficient conference rooms are particularly bright thanks to the large windows and offer direct access to the new inner courtyard, which exudes a very special atmosphere with, among other things, upcycled materials. Energy consumption is measured continuously and then optimized according to the use of the space.

Conferences in the Rainforest

Nestled in the impressive Peruvian rainforest and not far from the Inkaterra Canopy Walkways, lies the Convention Center of the hotel group. Here between 20 and 60 people find a very special place for workshops, meetings, and conferences. Nearby are the two Resorts, Inkaterra Hacienda Concepción, and Inkaterra Reserva Amazónica as well as the group's research center, the Inkaterra Guides Field Station. A number of major events have already taken place here, such as a conference of the Smithsonian Institute for Biodiversity and Environmental Protection in May of this year along with a film workshop led by director Werner Herzog for 45 young cineastes last year.

Zero Waste Conferences in Thailand

The Keemala Resort on the Thai island of Phuket offers special holistic events on request: from 'Zero Waste' meetings for up to 50 guests to the 'Food For Thought' coffee break with juice press station and delicious, healthy snacks. After morning meditation, the participants start the meeting full of energy and find the perfect balance to long days of sitting with Tai Chi in the forest around Keemala.

Climate Neutral Meetings in the Black Forest

Climate neutrality is included in the conferences at SCHWARZWALD PANORAMA, as the hotel only offers green meetings. In addition to calculating C02 emissions with the aim of maximum reduction and compensation of residual emissions, many other factors play an important role: from energy-saving event technology to conference materials of fair and resource-saving origin all the way through to reusable materials. In addition to catering with regional organic ingredients, there are plastic-free lunch packs for breaks, an organic coffee and tea station and peanuts instead of chocolate for mental stamina. In summer there is not only a beautiful snack garden just outside but also an ecological outdoor beer fridge as a reward.

Sustainable Events with a Lake View

Combining these two things is most definitely possible at Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's first climate-friendly conference hotel: Hotel Speicher is located directly on Lake Ziegelsee, in a heritage-listed granary in Schwerin. The regional, organic cuisine of the hotel and its restaurant "aurum" is not only impressive during the events but also in the evenings as well. One of their features, "Meetings with the Family", is very special: while the adults are in the meetings, the rest of the family goes on holiday! The hotel team is happy to help with the organization of leisure activities in and around the hotel.

The Landgut Stober also spoils its conference and event guests with a view of the lake: here guests can enjoy the view of the Groß Behnitzer See. The Logierhaus, the former stables, the distillery and the granary dating from 1875 are now home to 14 conference rooms – and 30 to 750 participants can be accommodated for a wide variety of occasions. The impressive outdoor area with courtyard, park and lake access invites you to relax in between sessions. The multiple award-winning CO2-neutral and organic certified conference and event hotel offers its guests special, inexpensive train tickets for a climate-friendly journey.
